Cemeteries Around the World

Just posted 2 photos in Lonely Planet's Cemeteries Around the World photo contest. Yes, it is quite a morbid topic for a photo competition but I thought it was interesting. Remembered the cemetery we went to in Kangaroo Island, and thought, why not join?

This was taken in February this year during our holiday in South Australia. It is a cemetery for lighthouse keepers at the Cape Borda Lighthouse.  The lighthouse was not your typical lighthouse! It was a funny looking, short and square lighthouse.

Another photo I posted was taken at the cemetery outside St. Paul's Chapel in New York City. This was taken in October 2008. I have to admit that I did add some effects to the photo, with some cropping. The original does not look as good. =) St Paul's Chapel is located right across the street from the World Trade Centre and served as a place of rest and refuge for to rescue workers after the 9/11 attack. It survived the attack without a single broken window!
